Achieve better posture and
body awareness
with a Pilates chair lesson.

The "Wunda Chair" is the most under estimated piece of equipment in the Pilates method. This machine was built 80+ years ago by Joesph Pilates. It is the perfect tool to build upper body strength and stabilize the torso while performing a number of lower body and foot strengthening exercises. The chair workout will develop whole-body balance.
The split pedal chair Wunda Chair is a machine designed to stabiliza and position the body for a wide range of specific Pilates exercises performed standing, using lunges, dips, deep stretching and resistance training seated or in push-up position. It's very sturdy, with a padded seat and foot bar and has 3 levels of resistance. Spring resistance is the key to challenge with this machine.

Pilates Mat Classes - A series of flexion, extension, lateral flexion, and rotation exercises performed on a mat. Over 35 exercises can be performed on the mat. A combination of basic, intermediate, and advanced exercises are introduced as the client develops strength, flexibility, coordination, and mental awareness.

  • Intro Class - This class will introduce the language of Pilates to beginning students. This class will focus on breathing, identifying the core of support for exercises, and pelvis stabilization. This class is a great class to start if you have never practiced the technique of Pilates.
  • Level I/II - This class builds upon the basic principals learned in the Intro class, working into knowledge and practice of the flowing progression of basic mat work. As the body becomes attuned to the deep work of the abdominal core, there is a noticeable increase in strength, tone and flexibility. Prerequisite: knowledge of basic 10 mat exercises.
  • Level II/III - Increasingly challenging exercises from Level I/II. As the tempo increases, stamina improves as does flexibility and strength.

Mat Pilates -
Be a Hollywood star (or just look like one)! According to Joseph Pilates, "Pilates is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, the way you play and in the way you work." By redressing unbalances and altering movement patterns, your body is brought back into balance. This intensive mat workout enhances posture, flexibility, endurance and balance while toning and firming your Powerhouse (core). Don’t be fooled—this is a challenging workout—but we know you will love the results! Pilates is great for all fitness levels and ages. Wear comfortable clothing we work on a mat, and use hand weights and band and pilates rings and balls.
Develop your body into a long and lean Pilates machine. You know the Pilates basics, now challenge yourself with more advanced moves, alignment work, and improve the mind-body connection. You deserve a challenging workout that will change the way you live.
